Designers & Agents is proud to use its platform to provide independent brands the opportunity to gain exposure to the cultivated, fashion retailers that make-up the D&A audience. Dedicated to building a curated roster of brands from around the world, united by their creative integrity, D&A is adept at recognizing the ever changing influences in both design and retail and able to energize the D&A experience accordingly through various initiatives.
independent goods (i.g.):
Building on its longstanding commitment to independent brands and its unique perspective on the changing landscape for both retailers and designers. i.g. showcases a selection of well curated offerings each with its own unique identity. i.g. is a cross-category offering drawing from the areas of personal accessories, lifestyle, beauty, wellness, ceramics, textiles and design objects. Selected brands have an opportunity to exhibit within the Designers & Agents show in an open concept space (without booth structure). i.g. affords participants accessible exposure to the D&A audience while introducing buyers to design driven thoughtfully selected products that have a real and tangible effect on our everyday lives.
Green initiatives
Green Leaf + Green Market:
To achieve its goal of raising awareness, D&A identifies brands that are making strides towards incorporating sustainable practices in the manufacturing and sourcing of their products. These brands are designated with a Green Leaf icon on their booth sign as well as exhibitor directory.
Additionally, brands which demonstrate that the majority of their product line is achieved through ecologically sensitive practices and/or fair trade affiliations are eligible for Green Market status. Green Market brands are designated special signage and notation in show directories.
D&A continues its efforts of promoting sustainable practices at its show spaces through improved recycling, biodegradable catering supplies, and green cleaning supplies.
